NKDA is going to start two swimming pool in Newtorn rajarhat soon for the civic body. The upcoming Newtown city is developing in full swing and many people has started living there. But there is no proper Gymnasium and Swimming for kids and adults. This step will surely encourage people and excite them. Already in Action area I a football ground has been made. According to plan one cricket ground is expected to come in Action area II. This swimming pool project will cost around 9.5 crore and it will take around 2 years to complete.
“There would be two swimming pools, both measuring 25m in length and 16m in breadth. Both pools would have eight lanes. The pool deck would be at a height of two feet from the ground. And apart from these two swimming pools, we would have a learners’ pool too for children,” said an officer of NKDA.
